Theatre Day Productions

A voice of their own for children in Gaza, and emergency shelter where it is needed most right now.

Theatre Day Productions

About this project

Theatre Day Productions (TDP) has worked across Gaza for more than thirty years. TDP is a cultural organisation that helps children, young people and women find their voice and develop their potential through theatre, drama and animation projects. Participants put their personal experiences into words, process trauma and develop their imagination, and in doing so build new perspectives.

War or no war, the work of Theatre Day Productions carries on, even now. But under far harsher conditions, and often focused on immediate emergency relief.

The tent camp today: emergency aid and continuing the work

Theatre Day Productions remains active today. In extremely harsh conditions, part of the work is shifting to direct emergency aid. TDP has set up an improvised tent camp in an area that, by current standards in Gaza, has remained relatively calm. Here TDP offers shelter, food and education, drawing on a range of creative disciplines, to children and others who have nowhere else to go. Everything on offer stays within the limits of what is available and affordable.
